Newman And Bultman Earn All-Conference Honors

Seniors Royce Newman and Brady Bultman were honored as part of the Southern Illinois River to River All-Conference (Mississippi Division) team, on March 16. The Hornets finished this season with a record of 21-11. The Hornets finished tied for first place in conference with a 9-1 record. Their lone conference loss was to Pinckneyville, who finished tied with Nashville for the conference title.

Newman averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game this season, and finished his Hornets career with over 1,700 career points. Bultman averaged 11.5 points per game this season for Nashville.

The rest of the SIRR All-Conference team was Clayton Houghland, Pinckneyville; Austin Swalls, Carterville; Sam Simpson, Pinckneyville; Jake Parr, Anna-Jonesboro; Taylor Heil, Carterville; Caleb Vogel, DuQuoin; Dakota Earhart, Anna-Jonesboro; and Jackson Brand, Pinckneyville.
