Banquet To Honor Groennert And Jankowksi

The Washington County Historical Society’s Annual Banquet is planned for April 28, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Banquet Room at Little Nashville. 

The Society will elect the Board members for the year, discuss what we achieved this year, and upcoming events. 

The event’s guest speaker will be Barbara Kay who will portray Molly Brown. Tickets are $12 each and may be purchased at the door.  

This year we are honoring both Wanda Groennert and Velva Jankowsi.  Wanda was involved in every aspect of the Historical Society and volunteered many hours for the betterment of the organization. 

Cathy Groennert, Wanda’s daughter, will be with us to help celebrate this special honor. Velva was also involved in the organization and the renovation of the Depot was only possible because of her gift to the organization. 

We will have a slideshow running which shows the progression of work on both the Museum and the Depot along with historic photos of Nashville and surrounding areas.
