Lorraine W. Schmidt

Ms. Lorraine W. Schmidt formerly of Nashville, departed this life at the on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 2:50 PM. She had attained the age of 80 years, 7 months and 15 days.

Ms. Schmidt was born on August 12, 1935 in Plum Hill Township, Washington County, the daughter of August and Florence (Detering) Schmidt.

  Lorraine was a 4-H leader for a number of years in Nashville and worked at the Derrick Restaurant until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to mourn her passing is her daughter, Melinda Brant and husband Scott of O’Fallon; two grandchildren, Ella and Connor Brant; a sister, Marie Bergmann of Nashville; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per the wishes of Lorraine, cremation was performed and a visitation will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, IL on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5 PM until 7 PM. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the O’Fallon United Church of Christ Sunday School in the name of her grandchildren or to a charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
