Oakdale Park Cleanup Day April 3

Oakdale will be having a park clean up day on Sunday,  April 3 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

Volunteers with all skill levels  are needed. The village board purchased a playground set that needs assembled.  The boards around the existing playground equipment need to be removed and replaced with new boards. There are several limbs that have fallen and sticks need picked up and burned. Contents in the large shed are being organized with many of the contents to be discarded.

Donations of trees, plants, and bulbs are being sought with hopes of them getting planted by volunteers. Dead and dying trees will be cut down professionally as soon as weather permits, so the park will have noticeably less trees.

Donations of outdoor decor, birdhouses, etc are appreciated too.

Weeds need sprayed or pulled. A tether ball needs hung. Light bulbs need replaced. The roof in the kitchen building is leaking and needs repaired.

The backstop of the ball diamond fence has fallen. Opinions are needed on what to do about this. 

Golf carts and utility vehicles are welcome to help make the work easier.  Bring your tools and shovel.
