Mr. Roger L. Haake of Nashville, departed this life at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville, on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 1:26 AM. He had attained the age of 76 years, 3 month and 21 days.

Mr. Haake was born on December 4, 1939 in Nashville, the son of Wilbert and Estella (Borchelt) Haake.

Roger graduated from Nashville Community High School in 1957 and served in the United State Air Force from 1957 to 1962. In 1962 he married Sylvia Glenn and they later divorced. Roger was then united in marriage to Linda Collins on June 4, 1982 and she survives his passing. Roger worked for the National Mines until it closed in 1982 and he was a 1984 graduate of Belleville Area College. He is a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, American Legion Post 110 and the Nashville Lions Club. Roger loved to collect coca-cola memorabilia and later he collected light houses. He was a great cook and he enjoyed watching barges on the Ohio River.

Roger is survived by his wife, Linda Haake of Nashville; three children, Mary Steinkamp and her friend Stan Wilken, Christian Haake and Joy Bass and husband Jerry; daughter-in-law, Debbie Flickner and husband Mike; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law, Robert and Marie Gummersheimer; a son, Joseph Glenn; a daughter, Kenya Ard and a son-in-law, James Ard.

Funeral services were held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating. Per the wishes of Roger and his family, cremation will be performed after the funeral service and a burial of ashes will be held at a later date.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the family of Roger Haake or the Nashville Lions Club and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
