Mrs. Irene Stella Kurwicki of Marshfield, Mo., departed this life at her daughter’s home in Seymour, Mo., on Monday, March 28, 2016. She had attained the age of 95 years, 2 months and a day.
Mrs. Kurwicki was born on January 27, 1921 in Washington County, the daughter of Barney and Lottie (Niedbalski) Barczewski. She was united in marriage to Ezdor E. Kurwicki on August 15, 1940 in St. Louis, Mo., and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1989.
Left to mourn her passing is her two daughters, Betty Kujawa and husband Carl of St. Louis, Mo., and Helen Forehand and friend Don Lilly of Seymour, Mo.,; three grandchildren, Jeff Kujawa of St. Louis, Mo., Duane Kujawa of St. Louis, Mo. and Shelly Yoder and husband Scott of Salem; five great grandchildren, Mandy, Tony and wife Emille, Bryan, Daniel, Keevin and wife Kristen; five great great grandchildren, Willow, Jordon, Caleb, Kyle and Skyler; one sister-in-law, Hattie Kurwicki of Nashville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.
Mass of Christian burial was held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, on Friday, April 1, 2016 with Fr. Bernard Goedde officiating and with interment at the church cemetery.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
