April 4

The Nashville Police Department conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of E. Adams St.

Officers responded to an alarm in the 500 block of W. Alton St.

Police assisted EMS in the 400 block of N. Frank St.

Officers responded to the 100 block of W. St. Louis St. for counterfeit money.

Police stopped a vehicle that had previously stolen a lawn mower out of a yard on E. Belleville St.

Officers responded to the 800 block of W. St. Louis St. for a child custody dispute.

April 5

Police assisted EMS in the 400 block of N. Frank St.

Officers responded to the ER for an unruly patient.

Police responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 for a 911 hang-up call

Officers responded to the 400 block of S. Mill St. for property exchange.

Police provided traffic control on St. Rt. 127 for a tow truck.

Officers arrested Payton Rogers of Carbondale for possession of cannabis.

Police responded to the 500 block of N. Washington St. for a property exchange.

Officers responded to the 100 block of E. Maple St. for a property exchange.

Police responded to the 500 block of N. Washington St. for a theft.

Officers responded to W. Walnut St. for an attempted suicide.

April 6

Police responded to the 200 block of N. Mill St. for disorderly conduct.

Officers responded to the 800 block of S. Mill St. for a theft.

Police responded to the 100 block of N. Mill St. for a domestic disturbance. John Lundgreen of Centralia, was arrested for Aggravated Assault, and disorderly conduct.

Officers responded to the 200 block of E. Walnut St. for harassment.

Police handled a two vehicle accident on St. Rt. 127 at Exchange Ave. A vehicle driven by James Lang, of Nashville, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Amy Rees, of Nashville. Both subjects went to the Washington County Hospital to be checked for injuries. A report was made on the accident.

April 7

Officers responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 for a 911 hang-up call.

Police responded to the 900 block of S. Mill St. for a medical call.

Officers were dispatched to W. High St. in reference to a traffic crash. Shelby McCandrew of Nashville backed into a parked vehicle.

April 8

Police responded to the 100 block of W. St. Louis St. for a suspicious noise.

Officers responded to the 400 block of S. Friendship Sr. for a 911 hang-up call.

Police served an arrest warrant to Zachary Daugherty, of Okawville, at the Washington County Sheriff’s Department.

April 9

Officers were requested to assist in searching for a traffic crash south of town.

Police arrested Jama Drysdale, 47 of DuQuoin, for driving while license suspended. Jama was also issued verbal warnings for operating vehicle with expired registration and for obstructed windshield.

Officers arrested John Neel, 35 of Nashville, for driving while license suspended.

April 10

Police responded to the 1500 block of W. St. Louis St. for a theft.

Officers assisted Washington County EMS with a report of a man slumped over his steering wheel on the interstate at MM 49. Police were unable to locate any vehicle matching the description.

Police was requested to respond to Interstate 64 near the 52 mile marker for a one-vehicle traffic crash with the vehicle in the median. Police arrived on-scene and spoke to State Police who advised it was only a motorist assist. Police advised dispatch to cancel fire and EMS.

Officers responded to St. Rt. 127 just south of Richview Rd. for a report of a car vs. deer traffic crash. A vehicle driven by Raymond Caplinger, 71 of Hoyleton, was traveling northbound on St. Rt. 127 when a deer ran into the side of his vehicle causing damage. No injuries were reported and a traffic crash report was completed on scene.

Police arrested Kip Smith II, 23 of St. Louis, for unlawful possession of cannabis (10-30 grams) and for unlawful display of registration on vehicle. Kip was also issued a citation for operating vehicle with expired registration and a verbal warning for speeding. Kip was taken to the Washington County Jail for the charges.

April 11

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127.

Police responded to the 700 block of S. Mill St. for harassment.
