Sheriff’s Dept. Traffic Stop Nets Three Carrying More Than A Pound Of Pot

On Sunday March 27, 2016 Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation Tommy L. Benales, 26, of Borden, Ind., was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, more than 500 grams, and cited for defective windshield.

Also arrested were Candace R. Voyles, 28 of Sellersburg, Ind., was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, more than 500 grams and Leonard E. Voyles, 26 of Sellersburg, Ind., was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Cannabis, more than 500 grams, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Bringing Contraband into a Penal Institution.

All appeared in Washington County Circuit Court. Benales and Leonard Voyles have both posted bond. Candace Voyles is currently incarcerated in the Washington County Jail.
