Members of the NCHS chapter of Future Business Leaders of America recently participated in the State Leadership Conference in Springfield.

Students were involved in competitive events and attended workshops that provided useful tools for networking and leadership.

Two students, Brent Harris and Mariel Elliot, qualified for the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta Ga., in June.

Top ten finishes went to the following students: Emily Harper, 10th in Electronic Career Portfolio, the team of Taylor Cook, Jill Guetersloh and Sara Guetersloh, 10th in Graphic Design, Ethan Small, 9th in Help Desk, and Abigail Hall, 6th in Public Speaking. Abigail was also named an FBLA Who’s Who student.

In addition to competitive events, Nashville High School was also recognized for its fundraising contribution for March of Dimes this year. NCHS FBLA contributed $1,000 to the Illinois March of Dimes organization, making them the 2nd largest per capita chapter for this activity.
