Pearl L. Zimmerman
Mrs. Pearl L. Zimmerman of Belleville, departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville, on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 8:20 PM. She had attained the age of 86 years, 3 months and 13 days.
Mrs. Zimmerman was born on January 5, 1930 in Washington County, the daughter of Fred Brammeier and Elizabeth (Shook) Meier. She was united in marriage to Frank Zimmerman and he preceded her in death on June 5, 1998.
Pearl worked as an LPN at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville for many years. She attended St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, where she was a past member of the Altar Sodality. She was a member of the Washington County Farm Bureau. Pearl enjoyed quilting, knitting, poetry and working in her garden.
Left to mourn her passing are her two sons, Donald Wallis and his wife Kathy of Belleville, and Ronald Wallis and his wife Diane of Long Island, N.Y.; three grandchildren, David Wallis, Joseph Wallis and wife Elizabeth, and Jessica Wallis; three great grandchildren, Josef, Yusuf and Hazim; former grandson-in-law, Ahmed Al-Rawi; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Chester Brammeier and a two sisters, Mary Samson and Estelle Brammeier.
Mass of Christian burial were held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, on Friday, April 22, 2016 with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating and with interment following in the church cemetery.
Should friends desire mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Parkinson Foundation and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
