Ruth Ann Wilson

Ruth Ann Wilson, 68, of Washington, died peacefully at 7:55 am Monday, April 18, 2016 at her home.

Born on October 10, 1947 in San Diego CA to Victor S. and Ruth Fehlber Forys, she married Thomas Edward Wilson on September 7, 1968 in Nashville. He survives.

Also surviving are two children; Jennifer (Don) Bowen of Washington, and David (Lori) Wilson of Morton, six beloved grandchildren; Alyssa, Nathan, Matthew, and Emily Bowen and Carter and Claire Wilson, three brothers; Michael (Carole) Forys of Glendale, Calif., Patrick (Carol) Forys of Yorktown, Va., and John (Sharon) Forys of Nashville, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ruth Ann received her Bachelors Degree from the University of Illinois in 1969. She was a Pre-School teacher for 30 years at First Federated Church in Peoria. Ruth Ann had a special connection with children and in return they loved her right back. This was especially true with her grandchildren, as she enjoyed attending their various activities over the years.

She was a member of St. Philomena’s Church in Peoria and also a member of the Junior League of Peoria. Ruth Ann will be remembered for the positive attitude she kept throughout her life.

A funeral mass was held on Friday, April 22, at St. Philomena’s Church in Peoria. Father David P. Richardson officiated. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and burial will be private at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the St. Philomena’s Building Fund.
