Willie Ernestine Oakley

Willie Ernestine Oakley of Okawville, departed this life in the Centralia Manor in Centralia, on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 4:55 P.M. She had attained the age of 85 years and 10 days.

Ernestine was born in Newport, Ark., on April 19, 1931 the daughter of Robert and Julia (nee Block) Henderson. She was united in marriage to Harry E. Oakley in Kennett, Mo., on October 23, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2011.

Mrs. Oakley was a homemaker and a dedicated wife and mother. She was a faithful member of the Okawville Four Square Church. She enjoyed fishing but most of all Ernestine loved her family.

Left to mourn her passing is her four children, Julia Campbell and husband Ray, Eulissa Elliott, Rhonda Blasdel and Harry Oakley Jr. and wife Jo Ann all of Okawville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a brother-in-law; nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Doris Doty and husband Richard; two sisters, Mary Lou Erhart and Willistine Glover; and a brother, Alexander Henderson.

Funeral services will be held from the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Roberson officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Okawville.

Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Okawville on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Lighthouse of Hope Church in Okawville or to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
