Brenda Gale Mattingly
Brenda Gale Mattingly of Ashley, departed this life at her residence on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at 4:11 P.M. after a long battle with liver cancer. She had attained the age of 49 years, 11 months and 21 days.
Brenda was born in Fairbury, IL, on May 17, 1966 to William (Hillbilly) and Virginia (Nickrent) Mattingly.
Brenda loved to spend time with family and friends. She loved her animals and enjoyed playing bingo and video poker machines.
Left to mourn her passing is her father, William Mattingly; her sister, Constance (Jim) Cameron all of Ashley; her niece, Jessica Cameron; her great niece Anika Nevaeh, all of Jacksonville; her former husband and family, James Lewis, Chrystal (Leo) Schaefer, Madison Lewis, and Charley Pearl Schaefer all of Waltonville; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Mattingly and godson/nephew, Holden Richard Cameron.
Funeral Services will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 10 A.M. with Pastor Jason Newell officiating and with interment to follow in the Ashley City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 5 to 8 P.M. and on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 7:30 A.M. until time of service.
Should friends desire, memorials contributions may be made to Holden’s Gifts from Santa or HOOAH Deer-Hunt-For-Heroes (Wounded Warriors) and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
