Police Report – May 11, 2016

April 28

Police issued two citations to Joseph Givvons of W.Va. First citations was for operating a vehicle with a registration cover. Second citation was for driving with a suspended driver’s license. Joseph was placed under arrest. Joseph also had multiple N.C. warrants for his arrest. The passenger in the car, Erica Simmons, was also placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cannabis. Both were taken to the WCSO jail.

April 29

Officers assisted EMS in the 300 block of E. Maple St.

Police responded to the 100 block of S. Sonya Circle for criminal damage to property.

Officers responded to the 400 block of W. St. Louis St. for identity theft.

Police observed a two car accident on S. Mill St. and E. Lebanon St. Drivers involved were Mellissa Von Kannon of Abingdon who rear ended William Reinburg of Nashville who was coming to a stop in traffic. No injuries were reported, and a crash report was completed on scene.

April 30

Officers responded to the 400 block of S. Friendship Dr. for a 911 hang-up call.

Police responded to the 300 block of E. St. Louis St. for a domestic dispute.

Officers responded to the 800 block of E. Lebanon St. for a domestic dispute.

Police responded to the 1500 block of S. Mill St. for an alarm.

Officers responded to the 400 block of E. St. Louis St. for vandalism.

Police stopped Tracieann Ortega of DuQuoin for improper lane usage and was arrested for driving under the influence.

May 1

Officers responded to the 500 block of E. Lebanon St. for a disturbance.

Police located a city ordinance violation in the 500 block of E. Maple St.

County requested police to check on a report of a vehicle in the ditch on St. Rt. 15 East of Nashville.

May 2

Officers responded to the 400 block of N. Mill St. for criminal damage to property.

Police responded to the 600 block of E. National Mine Rd. for an unruly subject.

Officers responded to the 500 block of W. Goodner St. for a welfare check.

Police responded to the 700 block of S. Mill St. for an attempted break-in.

Officers conducted a search warrant at the residence of 342 W. Belleville St. following the arrest of the resident, Mitchell Boston, 20 of Nashville, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. After the search, Mitchell was subsequently charged with five counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, two more counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, obstructing justice (concealing/destroying evidence), and for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. Mitchell was taken to the Washington County Jail for several misdemeanor, and felony charges.

May 3

Police responded to the 500 block of W. Goodner St. for a domestic disturbance.

Officers responded to the 900 block of W. Maple St. for an ordinance violation.

Police responded to the 12500 block of St. Rt. 127 for a structure fire.

May 4

Officers took a report of a phone scam claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury.

Police responded to the 1500 block of S. Mill St. for an alarm.

Officers responded to the 17500 block of Mockingbird Rd. for a medical call.

Police responded to the 500 block of S. Mill St. for a 911 hang-up call.

May 5

Officers responded to the 1100 block of W. Adams St. for a medical call.

Police responded to the intersection of St. Rt. 127 and St. Rt. 15 for a stalled vehicle.

Officers responded to the 700 block of S. Mill St. for an unwanted subject.

Police responded to the 100 block of N. Mill St. for child custody interference.

Officers responded to McDonald’s for a report of a suspicious person.

May 6

Police responded to the 11700 block of St. Rt. 127 for recovered property.

Officers responded to the 17000 block of Automall Dr. for a fraud report.

Police issued Patricia Koepke of Okawville 2 citations. First was for improper lighting, being that the vehicle had only one head lamp. The second citation was for illegal transportation of alcohol. The passenger in the car was also issued a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol. The third passenger was also issued a notice to appear for unlawful possession of cannabis after the Nashville K-9 alerted on the vehicle.

May 7

Officers arrested Anthony Voss of Carlyle, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police responded to the 600 block of N. Mill St. for a suspicious vehicle.

Officers responded to the 400 block of E. Maple St. for a combative subject.

Police responded to the 1000 block of S. Heaman Dr. for a medical call.

Officers responded to the 11600 block of St. Rt. 127 for a 911 hang-up call.

Police responded to the 800 block of N. Kaskaskia St. for suspicious activity.

Officers responded to St. Rt. 127 north of Holzhauer’s for a vehicle that struck a turkey. Police spoke to the driver, James Tyler, 21 of Nashville, and it was discovered that the vehicle had very minimal damage and the turkey had walked off into a field.

May 8

Police responded to the 1000 block of S. Washington St. for an unwanted subject.

Officers responded to the memorial park for reckless driving.

Police responded to the 500 block of N. Washington St. for an unwanted subject.

Officers responded to the 400 block of E. Maple St. for a combative subject.

Police issued Amy Sanders, of Woodlawn, citations for driving while license suspended and for operating vehicle with suspended registration
