Sunday morning worship services at Zion United Church of Christ will take place at 10 a.m. at the church in Hoyleton.
This week a story is told to us in the Book of Luke, chapter 7 verses 1-10 of a man who was sick and others approached Jesus asking him to heal the man saying this sick man deserves healing because of his work and faith.
Jesus walked with the elders towards the sick man’s home and they told him great things about him.
Suddenly Jesus turned and said, “I tell you I have not found such great faith in all of Israel.” Another parable or story of Jesus giving the generations faith directives for daily living.
Young people wishing to attend camp this summer at DuBois Center may receive a scholarship from the church by simply applying. Let your interest be known as soon as possible as the camp has deadlines for attendees and there are early bird discounts available. This financial assistance is intended to provide youth with an opportunity to attend, meet new friends, enjoy a campfire, swimming, and other fun.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Gary Hongsermeier.
Members are needed at the Food Pantry on Saturday, June 4 at 9 a.m.
New members will be received into the church on June 5 at the 10 o’clock service. Communion at the Lord’s table will also be offered.
