Play a song that makes you “HAPPY” was the theme for Kathy Unverfehrt’s Piano Student’s Spring Recital held on May 1 at Unverfehrt Farm Supply at Hoyleton.

Each student played one or two pieces of songs they chose themselves. Selections included nursery rhymes, hymns, contect pieces etc.

Those playing their contest pieces were:

• High School Level – Amy Harris – First Rating

• Grade School Level – Amanda Travis, Rebecca Shopinski, Nora Wood, Brooke Harris, Emma Grathwohl and Kaitlynn Whaley – All receiving 1st Ratings

Amanda Travis received a First Rating at State Contest held May 7.
