Mrs. Deborah Phillips of Belleville, departed this life at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 3:25 PM. She had attained the age of 65 years, 7 months and 7 days.

Mrs. Phillips was born on October 15, 1950 at Belleville, the daughter of Orville and Florence (Cook) Poirot. She was united in marriage to Mathew Phillips in Carbondale, and he survives her passing.

Deborah worked as an office clerk for many years and she also worked as a babysitter. She was a member of the Eastern Star and she loved, crafting, baking, reading and drawing.

Left to mourn her passing is her husband, Mathew Phillips of Carbondale; her son, Peter Poirot and special friend Jaymee of Breese; her grandson Braeden Poirot of Breese; her sister, Sherry Davis and husband Wally of Belleville; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Judy Mulvihill and her brother-in-law, Earl Zachies.

Per the wishes of Deborah and her family, cremation was performed and a memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11 AM with Rev. Phil Carson officiating. Interment of ashes at Greenwood Cemetery in Nashville, will be held at a later date.

Friends may call at the First Presbyterian Church in Nashville, on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 8 AM until the service hour.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the family of Deborah Phillips and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
