Mai, Mai, What Nice Cars You Have There…
Maifest, sponsored by the Nashville Lions Club, was held this Friday night, Saturday and Sunday prior to Memorial Day. ABOVE, Out working at the concession stand on Saturday were Leland Wells, Will Summers, Ron Schorfheide, and Barry Hoercher, sling burgers, brats, pork steaks and more. RIGHT, Tom and Pam Sabo of Hoyleton each brought cars that the entered in the Maifest auto show, sponsored by the Nashville Moose. Pam’s was the red 1964 Karmann Ghia at left, while Tom’s was the maroon 1950 Ford Crestliner at right.
With cars as hot as these, it’s a good thing someone brought a firetruck. The Nashville Lions Club hosted the Maifest auto show at Memorial Park this Sunday, in front of the Nashville American Legion. Greg Brooks of the Nashville Lions said that there were nearly 50 vehicles registered for the show. For more from Maifest, see page A4.
