A son was born to Brian and Sara Vanagas of Decatur, on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 2:50 a.m. at St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. He weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 ¼ inches long. He was named Cooper Dean. He has an older brother, Bode James. His mother is the former Sara Chappell.

Maternal grandparents are Dean and Becky Chappell of Decatur. Paternal grandparents are Jim and Kendra Vanagas of Mt. Vernon. Maternal great grandmother is Florence Chappell of Decatur. Paternal great grandmother is Lavayne Hackstadt and the Late Norman Hackstadt of rural Nashville.
