Mother and daughter Jennifer and Laura Malacarne run the table for their business “Bones of Flowers” at the Farmer’s Market. While they do carry some herb plants, they specialize in wildflowers and ornamentals that are native to the area.
“They’re all native, all perennial,” said Jennifer, saying that the plants typically require low amounts of energy to grow and don’t really need any added water or fertilizer.
The Nashville Farmer’s Market is sponsored by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce and is held on Thursday mornings from 7 to 11 a.m. If you would like more information, or if you would like to set up a stand, contact Chamber Director Doris Povolish at the Chamber office at (618) 327-3700.
