GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE, SOLD!

The excitement rings out as for the past 20+ years, the quilt auction takes the stage under the pavilion on Sunday, July 10 at the Hofbraufest. The committee for this event is compromised of Norma Tucker, Deb Obermeier, Marsha Hake, and Cassie Sachtleben.

This group of dedicated women solicit applications for individuals to submit their quilts for auctioning. The quilters receive an appointment as this resourceful group ensures the creative endeavors meet the standards for entry into the auction. The quilt must be pieced and may be either hand or machine quilted.

A limited number of tied quilts are accepted. Last year, an added category for clean vintage quilts was added. This proved to be a true crowd pleaser!

Bed quilts, baby quilts, and quilted wall hangings will be on display in the park beginning at 11:30 a.m. As the committee follows strict adherence to the set standards, the juried quilts are truly works of art in addition to being a cover on a cold, wintry night.

The Hofbraufest is featuring American Dreams AMS as the carnival vendor this year. Arm bands will be featured all 3 days of the event and with 2 canned goods participants can receive $2.00 off of their arm band and this offer is repeated on each day as that day’s arm band is purchased.

Rides, games, and concessions will be presented by American Dreams and each arm band will ensure 4 fun-filled hours riding the various attractions.

Please see the ad in this week’s Nashville News for the schedule of events at the 48th Annual Hoyleton Hofbraufest.
