Oakdale Sports Boosters Golf Tournament
The 5th Annual Oakdale Sports Boosters Golf Tournament was held at Nashville Golf Course on June 12. This tournament helped raise money to help with equipment, uniforms, and transportation.
There was a tie atop A Flight between team Niven Trefftzs, Tyler Wall, and Jaret Brewer, and team Tony Doehring, Keith Doehring, and Scott Cragen with a score of 61. There was a tie in B Flight with a score of 65 between team Robbie Irwin, Trevor Irwin, and Ryan Harmening, and team Cory Plumlee, Haven Hicks, and Nathan Hubler. The winner of C Flight was team Charles Peterson, Jeff Nowland, and Brian Shaw with a score of 72. Second place in C Flight was Brian Schlichter, Paul Wulf, and Matt Simonton with a score of 73.
Winner of the closest to the pin on #2 was Greg Schmale. The winner on number 5 was Cole Curry. The prizes were donated by Drury Hotels and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Attendance Prizes were given by Southern Illinois Miners, El Indio, Oakdale Country Kitchen, Gateway Grizzlies, Van's Motor Sports, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Tom's, Lee's Sports, Dairy Queen Nashville, Southside Sports Bar, Krogers, Sparta Wal-Mart, Stearns Furniture, Mi Casa Sub Shop of Sparta, Sam's Club, and Nashville Fitness.

The Oakdale Sports Boosters would like to thank all the businesses that donated and also all the teams that played in the tournament to help make it a success. The Sports Boosters would also like to thank all those who helped work the golf tournament. The Oakdale Sports Boosters were able to raise $2,228.43 at the event.
