June 19

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a fight in progress at the Washington County State Lake.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy removed debris off the roadway on US Highway 51 in Ashley

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a possible DUI entering Hoyleton.

June 18

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of neighborhood trouble in DuBois.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded with St. Libory Fire Dept and Washington County Ambulance to a report of a dirt bike accident in the Lively Grove area. Shane Lindsay, 21 of Okawville lost control of his dirt bike causing him to wreck. No serious injuries were reported.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on County Highway 27 near Pelican Rd. Brittany Abell, 18 from Ashley lost control of her vehicle due to loose gravel in the roadway. Abell’s vehicle struck a ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported.

A Washington County Deputy spoke with a representative for the Village of DuBois in reference to a theft of water from the Village of DuBois, after the water to a residence had been shut off for non-payment.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of debris in the roadway on St. Rt. 15 near Highline Rd.

June 17

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of reckless driving near Ashley.

June 16

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office returned a phone call to a resident of Marissa in reference to a civil matter.

Stephen D. Sinkey, 39 of New Baden, was driving a 2001 Ford Sedan when the vehicle lost control and overturned near the intersection of Washington County Line Road and Darmstadt Road. Sinkey was transported to St. Louis University Hospital. Sinkey was cited by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for Driving too Fast for Conditions and Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to rural Irvington for a report of vehicles parked in the roadway.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to rural Ashley, IL for a report of a suspicious person.

June 15

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded with Hoyleton Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance to a medical emergency call at Kretzer’s Bar and Grill in Hoyleton.

June 14

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a dog running at large in rural Centralia. The incident was forwarded to Washington County Animal Control.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a one vehicle accident on Lincoln Rd near Oakdale Blacktop Rd. Nina Shotton (75) of Pinckneyville went off the roadway and struck a ditch causing damage to her vehicle. No injuries were reported.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a welfare check in Beaucoup.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a motorist assist on Richview Rd just West of Alabama Rd.

June 12

A Washington County Deputy responded to the Washington County State Lake Recreational Area for a reported disorderly conduct. Darryl A. Rowen, 53 of Hollow Rock, TN left the State Lake and was warned if he returned he would be cited for trespassing.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office took a burglary report from a resident of Addieville, IL.

Taryn L. Sensmeyer, 25, of Addieville, IL was taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff's Office on a Randolph County Warrant. Sensmeyer was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted a motorist with a flat tire on US 51 south of I-64.

June 11

James E. Ponder, 45, of Belleville, IL was taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff's Office on a Probation Violation warrant out of St. Clair County.

June 10

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to Grandma's Kitchen in Irvington, IL for a custody dispute.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office received a report of damage to a mailbox occurring in rural Richview, IL.

June 9

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy assisted the Illinois State Police on a motorist assist on Interstate 64.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office responded to Ashley for a report of a Theft.

June 8

A Washington County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of shop lifting at Kemps Korner in New Minden.

Harold H. Prusz, 78 of Nashville, was driving a 2010 Dodge Ram when he stuck a 2000 Volvo Car-hauler driven by Douglas D. Higgerson, 57 of Pinckneyville, near the intersection of State Route 127 and Connecticut Road. No injuries were reported.

June 7

The Washington County Sheriff's Office took a theft report from a resident of New Minden, IL.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office assisted a motorist in Hoyleton, IL.

June 6

The Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Christopher L. Rogers, 34 of Waltonville, IL on a warrant.
