Sheri Pedtke was appointed to the city council she replaces James Turner. Rick Woods, Rob Glover, Jim Coultas and Brian Fulton were appointed to the Zoning Board.

July 2 is the Ashley picnic. The Flea Market opens at 8 am. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office will be doing Ident a Kid. Rainbow Ranch will be back with the petting zoo. New Heart Fellowship Church will be serving Chicken and Dumpling Dinner from 4 until 7. Ashley Fire Department will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs. A.C.C will be hosting a silent auction and bake sale. Baked goods and silent auction items are still needed and may be dropped off at the park Saturday morning. R and J Tactical Laser Tag will be selling arm bands. A.C.C will have Free kids games. Pastor Dennis Gambill of the United Methodist Church of Ashley and Richview will have Church Services in the park at 6 pm bring your lawn chairs. The 161 Band will be playing music from 7pm until 11 pm. Chops will have the beer stand. Fireworks at dark.

Ashley Public Library is sponsoring a reading program this summer. Register now program begins July 7. Check them out on-line at AshleyPublicLibrary.Org.

We had lunch at the Lantern Pub today all you can eat fried chicken it sure was good. Check them out on Facebook.

Don’t forget to save the box tops and soda tabs for Ashley Grade School. Now that school’s out please slow down and watch for the kids playing.
