Mrs. Barbara Alvina (Brugere) Junge, age 86, of Nashville, IL departed this life at the Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashvillle, IL on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 8:25 PM. She had attained the age of 86 years, 2 months and 13 days.

Barbara was born on April 12, 1930 in St. Louis, MO. She was the only daughter of Melvin and Martha (Rhomberg) Brugere. On December 3, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ken Junge and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2015. They were known as the original “Barbie and Ken”. She was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville.

Barbara was a devoted mother and wife. Barbara enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers, she loved her special rocks, singing, painting, ceramics, drawing, fishing and bingo. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband. They spent many winters in Florida at the Woodland Lutheran Campgrounds till they were unable to travel.

Left to mourn her passing are her four children, Martie (Sam) Jack, Ashley; Ken (Waultruad) Junge, Jr., Colorado; Patricia “Trish” (Bill) Lints, Colorado; Wayne (Pam) Junge, Nevada and raised and loved like a son, Rich (Sue) Crow, Missouri. Grandchildren: Ira (Amanda) Jack, Matt (Sarah) Jack, Rebecca (Howard) Davis, Stephanie Barton, Bianca (Aldo) Mendoza, Christopher Junge, Kristy Lints, Brian Lints, Bethany (Luke) Durnbaugh, Derik Lints, Sara Mothershead, Jessica Junge and Jackie Junge. Barb also had 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. A brother, Melvin (Lois) Brugere. Three Sisters-in-law, Doloris Roethemeyer, Lorna Graf and Sylvia (Kurtz) Stiteler and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister-in-law, Evelyn Eagen; three brothers-in-law, George Graf, Ralph Roethemeyer and Jim Eagan; grandson, Michael Lints and two great grandsons, Jeremy Davis and Jerad Davis.

Funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 1 PM with Rev. Aaron Kotila officiating and with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
