Lorraine Janowski
Mrs. Lorraine Janowski of DuBois, IL, departed this life at her daughter’s residence in Eureka, MO, on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 8:08 PM. She had attained the age of 90 years, 10 months and 18 days.
Mrs. Janowski was born on August 8, 1925 at Perry County, IL the daughter of Edward and Angela “Nellie” (Michalski) Nowicki. She was united in marriage to Stanley Janowski on May 26, 1951 at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, IL and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2012.
Lorraine was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Radom, IL.
She was the loving mother of five children Al (Marilyn) Janowski, John (Kathleen) Janowski, Michael (Lisa) Janowski, Mary Ann (John) Herbst and Joseph (special friend Gen) Janowski.
She is survived by her children, nine grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Janowski, Bradley, Jared, Luke and Michelle Herbst and Laura (Zach) Zwart, Sarah and Megan Janowski; three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jesse and Annabelle; nieces, nephews, other relations and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sylvia Smith, and dear grandson, David Janowski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Radom, IL on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10 AM with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating and with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Ashley, IL on Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Friday from 7:30 AM until 9:30 AM.
The rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday at 7:30 PM.
Should friends desire mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery or St. Michael’s Catholic Church Elevator Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
