Late Monday morning, two employees of Henkels and McCoy, contracting for Tri-County Electric Cooperative suffered an accident that resulted in them falling from the bucket truck they were working from on State Route 127, near the intersection of Smith Road.
“Something happened to the truck, causing the bucket to fall or them to fall out of the bucket,” said Washington County Sheriff Danny Bradac.
Responding to the accident were the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Washington County Ambulance Service, the Nashville Fire Department, and the Nashville Police Department.
Both of the men suffered injuries as a result of the fall, with Washington County Ambulance Department Director John Felchlia describing one of the men as being in critical condition with the other was in serious condition.
Felchlia stated that both men were stable and conscious when they were evacuated from the scene by helicopter.
Tri-County Electric Cooperative did confirm that men were working for them, but declined to release their names.
