July 11

The Nashville Police Department responded to the 300 block of W. Maple St. for a domestic dispute. Police arrested Ryan Sommer, of Nashville, and charged him with aggravated assault with a firearm.

Officers responded to the 1500 block of S. Mill St. for an alarm.

July 12

Police responded to the 500 block of W. Walnut St. for suspicious activity.

Officers responded to the 1200 block of S. Mill St. for a welfare check.

Police responded to the 800 block of S. Mill St. for a domestic dispute.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on Samantha Horton, of Centralia, for a traffic violation. As a result of the stop, Samantha was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license. Samantha was also issued non-traffic citations for unlawful possession of cannabis and for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 13

Police responded to the 700 block of E. Gym St. for suspicious activity.

Officers responded to several areas for trees and power lines down from the storm.

Police responded to Mockingbird Rd. for a suspicious vehicle.

Officers took a report of damage to a vehicle on S. Mill St. at E. Alton St. Gerald Heinzman, of New Baden, advised that while he was driving on S. Mill St. a large tree fell on his vehicle causing damage. Traffic crash report was made.

Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Jeremy Gibson, of Oakdale, for a traffic violation. As a result of the stop, police arrested Jeremy for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, being cocaine, and for two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. The arrest was made after police K-9 alerted on the vehicle for narcotics. Jeremy was taken to the Washington County Jail for the charges.

July 14

Officers responded to the 500 block of W. Goodner St. for a civil matter.

Police took a report of a hit and run from Janet McKnight, of New Minden, that occurred on July 13 in the Kroger parking lot.

July 15

Officers responded to the 600 block of S. Mill St. for a suspicious person.

Police responded to McDonald’s for a 911 hang-up call.

Officers responded to Mockingbird Rd. for criminal damage to property.

Police issued Gary R. Wilbur, of Nashville, a citation for driving while license revoked.

July 16

Officers responded to the 1500 block of S. Mill St. for an alarm.

Police responded to the 17500 block of Mockingbird Rd. for an alarm.

Officers responded to the 300 block of W. St. Louis St. for a theft.

Police responded to the 100 block of E. Angie Ave. for a welfare check.

Officers responded to the 700 block of S. Mill St. to check the welfare of an 18 month old child. Rachel Morris, of Nashville, was arrested for Enganering the life and health of a child and also for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Police was requested to respond to St. Rt. 15 east of Beaucoup to assist the Sheriff’s Department with a one-vehicle traffic crash. Police remained on-scene until a deputy arrived and was secure.

July 17

Officers responded to the 900 block of S. Washington St. for child custody interference.

Police responded to the overpass of I-64 for a welfare check.

Officers responded to the 800 block of S. Kaskaskia St. for a theft.

Police responded to the 100 block of E. Elm St. for suspicious activity.

Officers responded to the 500 block of N. Kaskaskia St. for a 911 hang-up call.

Police responded to N. Washington St. at West Elm St. for a power line down.

Officers responded to the 600 block of E. Lebanon St. for a domestic dispute.

Police were requested to respond to 155 N. Second St, Ashley, to assist the Washington County Deputy Sheriff with a reported domestic battery.

July 18

Officers responded to the 18500 block of St. Rt. 15 for an alarm.
