Four NCHS Alumni Honored By NJCAA
Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that its men’s basketball, women’s cross country; men’s tennis; baseball, volleyball, women’s golf, women’s soccer and softball teams have been named to the 2016-17 NJCAA All-Academic Teams.
Three players received the Pinnacle Award for having a 4.0 GPA. These players include soccer player Kylee Ledbetter (Carlyle) and Brooke Moll (Perryville, MO); tennis players Daniel Pieplow (Xenia) and Zachary Plocher (Highland) – Pinnacle and cross country runners Lucas Probst (Teutoplois) and Taylor Haskenhoff (Freeburg)
Athletes named as NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement Honorees include cross country runners Abby Wroblewski (Radom) and Lauren Jansen (Teutopolis); baseball players Alex Allen (Windsor), Andrew Borries (Teutopolis) and Keegan Anderson (Hoyleton); volleyball players Chelsea Hill (Freeburg), Chloe Beckmann (Bartelso), Courtney Litteken (Trenton), Emily Vahlkamp (Freeburg), Jordi Harre (Nashville), and Lauren Donnewald (Breese); softball players Kelly Barr (Charleston) and Kristen Eversgerd (Carlyle); golfer Lacey McTall (Centralia), soccer player Rachel Hanold (Haupstadt, IN); and tennis player Tanner Massa (St. Jacob).
Students who were awarded the Exemplary Award for Academic Excellence were softball player Allison Lewis (Beckemeyer); golfer Bethany Kunick (Sandoval); volleyball players Breanna Smith (Carlyle) and Natalie Kennett (Albers); baseball players Caleb Boehne (Hoffman), Darren Probst (Teutopolis) and Matt Mersinger (St. Jacob); golfers Jessica Weihe (Hoyleton) and Casey Willenborg (Teutopolis); basketball players Jacob Timmermann (Albers), Ryan Obermeier (Centralia), and Steven Julian (Louisville, KY); softball player Macy Shaffner (Marshall); soccer players Shelby Brandmeyer (Trenton), Makenzie Burgess (Charleston), and Mariah Dunavan (Dix); basketball player Mikala Williams (Sesser) and tennis player Paige Wells (Centralia).
