Washington County Vocational Workshop Updates July ‘16
In August, it is time to renew the Kroger Community Rewards.
This has been a wonderful program for WCVW. Each quarter were receive a check for 3% of purchases. The last email said we had 50 households contributing for us. You have the month of August to call 1-800-Krogers or go online to renew. If you call, you select option #3. There workshop code is 90507 or just tell them who you want your rewards to go to.
If you do not renew in August, your household will be dropped. You can join again at any time but by doing this in August, all your receipts will count. Please tell your friends and family.
If you are not signed up please join. If you are signed up for one of the local schools, please renew for them.
We continue to collect the Prairie Farms milk caps from the gallon and half gallon containers. In May ‘16 we attained our 1000 caps and received a check for $50. We are back up to 86 caps at this time.
A special thanks to all who donate their aluminum cans to WCVW. We keep collecting. I haul the cans to the Alton Recycling branch in Sparta, IL. With help from my son, a friend and my granddaughter, I used my truck and trailer and hauled over 600 pounds of cans in April. I recently brought my truck and hauled 92 pounds of cans.
So far this year, I have purchased a stereo set and antenna for Bldg. 3 work area and had it installed. I purchased a number of games for downtime activities. I also purchased all the tickets to the Grizzlies ball game.
The new sewer lines are run and the loading dock is complete except for some electrical work. Please drive by and see it.
