Hoyleton

SUCCESS – the word of the week in Hoyleton. Tuesday saw several families motoring to the Nashville Swimming Pool to the hosted Cool Kids Swim Party. F&M Bank held their 1st Annual pool party for their little customers. A picnic style dinner began the evening with hotdogs, snacks and a selection of drinks. Prize drawings were held and at 7 p.m. – all headed to the cool comfort of the water. A special thank you to Karianne Schnitker and Jodi Smith from our community for being two of the many bank employees working to ensure the enjoyable evening accommodated one and all: THANK YOU!

The Hoyleton Fire Association saw success in action with their annual breakfast. The delicious fare served as a fundraising source to the HFD and results in additional equipment and supplies being purchased to keep our homes and areas safe.

Reaching a goal equates SUCCESS – Our Veteran’s Memorial has met its goal of selling 100 bricks honoring the men and women who so valiantly serve and have served to ensure our freedom remains secure. But, wait: sales have continued and the number of bricks sold has climbed to 124 – and with this success a new goal of 150 bricks has now been marked. In addition to the paved walk serving as a living honorarium, 4 benches are planned to provide serenity seating at the site.

A bench can be purchased for $1,500 setting a stage for your message both on the back of the bench and along the sides. And while we make the purchases knowing this is a living gift to honor our loved ones; it becomes a dual success as your purchase is tax deductible.

Do not hesitate to contact Deb Holle at 618-493-6326 or 618-780-0357. Deb will soon be setting a meeting to firm up the groundwork for this fabulous tribute. Shortly thereafter, the brick order will be placed.

The Veteran’s Tribute is one more step in beautifying our Village Park as the Hoyleton Park Foundation platted plan becomes another reality.
