Lucretia A. Moore
Lucretia A. Moore, age 73, of Oakdale, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. Memorial Hospital, Belleville.
Lucretia was born on August 20, 1942 in Galesburg, a daughter to Clem Roy and Margaret Ellen (Voit) Cook. On March 5, 1960, she married Ronald W. Moore in Pinckneyville and he survives. Lucretia worked in retail for many years. She loved to cook, bake and loved being with her family. She was known for being a little bossy.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Moore of Oakdale; five children, Ronald (Barb) Moore of Nashville and their children and grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsay Reel and Isabella, and Sean and Christi Reel and Keegan and Gavin; Cheryl (Steve) Poe of DuQuoin and their children and grandchildren, Lucrista “Annie” Moore (fiancée, Shawn Daniels) and Seth and Keagin and Tiffani Poe (significant other, Daniel Maddox) and Everett James Maddox to be born soon; Jason (Janine) Moore of Oakdale; Michael Sean Moore and (fiancée, Jessica Richards) and Autumn Richards of Marissa; and Nicole (Chris) Cox of Woodriver; one brother, Bill (Ginny) Cook of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Jacque (David) Lusby of Granite City and Barbara (Ronnie) Chandler of Madison and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one granddaughter, Chelsea Poe; two sisters, Sandra Baldwin and Juanita Cook and three brothers, Roy Cook, Larry Cook and Harold Cook.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
