Sunday August 14, Brandon Perjak will be the lay speaker at Zion. Pastor Bill will be taking another week of his vacation time.

Zion’s 145th Birthday celebration on Sunday was very nice. It was good to see everyone who attended, good food and good music too.

Carol (Lehde) Phillips of Lake Saint Louis attended Zion’s 145th celebration.

Lauren Bakker-Arkema of St Louis visited her Uncle Allen Gaebe last Tuesday.

Ken and JoAnn Harvey became great grandparents. Makenna Hansen was born on August 4.

Howard Bohbrink and Dowell and Sydney Kelley were callers here on Friday. It was Howard’s birthday.

Susan (Brennecke) Sullivan of Las Vegas was a caller here last Friday. Glad to report Susan keeps very active in volunteering and fund raising events. Sad to report her sister Kathy who lives in Florida is in ill health.

Amy Bergmann, Lynn Carrick, and Debbie Barkau enjoyed a trip to Germany and England. They did some family research along with sightseeing. Amy also visited a high school friend Tim Gaddis who lives in England.

Sami Edwards is now a teenager. She had a party with friends at the Sky Zone in Chesterfield, MO on Saturday.

Remember the Washington County Electronics Recycling on Saturday, August 13 from 8 am to noon. There will also be a paper shredding truck available sponsored by Farmers
