Viola A. Frederking

Mrs. Viola A. Frederking, of Nashville, departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville on Monday, August 1 at 6:45 P.M. She had attained the age of 93 years and 7 months.

Mrs. Frederking was born on December 31, 1922 at Cordes, Washington County the daughter of Albert and Emma (Harre) Oexeman. She was united in marriage to George Frederking on May 29, 1943 at St. Peters Hahlen Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2010.

Viola was a homemaker and a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Nashville. She was also a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, the Altar Guild, Washington County Home Extension and was a leader for the 4-H. Viola enjoyed gardening and crafting.

Left to mourn her passing are her two children, Jerry Frederking and wife Danita of Nashville and Jackie Bening and husband Larry of Okawville; six grandchildren, Douglas Bening and wife Christine, Stephanie Meyer and husband Steve, Amanda Dunbar and husband Josh, Jonathan Bening, Brandon Frederking and wife Stacey and Kristen Hundelt and husband Joel; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Paul Oexeman and wife Myrtle of Nashville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Stanley, Albert and Marten Oexeman and a sister, Regina Obermeier.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville on Friday, August 5 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Aaron Kotila officiating and with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
