Christine Hoffman, 94, of Du Bois, passed away at 12:50 A.M., Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Friendship Manor Health Care in Nashville.

She had worked at Travelers Restaurant, Lamczyk Meat Processing and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois and a member of AARP.

She was born March 29, 1922, in Tamaroa, the daughter of Frank and Sophia (Szczpanski ) Marshalek.

She married Edward Hoffman on April 22, 1940 at Du Bois and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1990.

She is survived by two daughters – Mary Jane Hunt and husband Wally of Calvert City, Ky.,Elaine Wiles and husband Norman of Queensland, Australia, two granddaughters – Sheryl Bruce of Long Beach, Calif., and Laura Dalman of Du Bois, four great grandchildren – Mark Dalman of Du Bois, Jason Dalman of Du Bois, Noah Bruce of Long Beach, Calif., and Ryan Bruce of Long Beach, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband –
Edward Hoffman, three brothers, and four sisters – Barb Hunter, Theresa Rataczyk, Esther Konkel, and Clara Prusacki.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 A.M., on Tuesday, August 16 at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.

Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery in Du Bois.

Friends may make memorials to Masses or St. Charles Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
