August 14

A Washington County Deputy responded to Interstate 64 for a motorist assist. Karen R. Pope, 34 of Hoyleton got her vehicle stuck on a farm road north of Interstate 64. Pope was given a courtesy ride to New Minden, IL.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy along with the Nashville Police, Okawville Police and Illinois State Police responded to a report of domestic battery in Addieville.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded with Nashville Fire Department and Washington County Ambulance to a report of power lines on fire in rural Nashville.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a motorist assist in rural Addieville.

August 13

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a one vehicle traffic crash on Green St. in Clairmin. Alyssa M. Bleisch, 18 from Okawville exited the roadway and struck a tree. Bleisch was transported to Sparta Hospital to be treated for injuries.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in Ashley for a domestic dispute.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy spoke with a resident of St. Charles, MO in reference to a civil matter.

August 12

Washington County Sheriff Deputies assisted the Illinois State Police on a motorist assist on Interstate 64.

A Washington County Deputy responded to a reported theft of a lawnmower in rural Richview.

Dee Dee Mae Broadhurst, 48 of Centralia, was issued citations and arrested for speeding, no valid registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without evidence of registration, unlawful possession of title documents, and unlawful possession of title documents without complete assignment.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office returned a phone call to a resident of Ashley in reference to Suspicious activity.

August 11

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office arrested Zachary Q. Holt, 23 of Carlyle, IL on a Bond County warrant. Holt was also issued citations for speeding and Operating Uninsured Vehicle.

August 10

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery in Richview.

Washington County Sheriff Deputies responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address in Irvington.

The Washington Sheriff’s Office reported a domestic trouble from a Hoyleton, IL residence.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Hoyleton, IL reference a property exchange.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious vehicle in rural Okawville, IL.

August 9

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested Matthew J. Peters (23) of Marion on a outstanding Washington County Warrant.

A Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy responded a residence in rural Okawville and took a report reference a theft case.

James E. Ponder, Sr., 45, of Belleville, IL was stopped by a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy for not having a front license plate. Ponder attempted to flee on foot to avoid arrest. Ponder was subsequently cited and arrested for no front registration plate, driving while license suspended, operation of uninsured vehicle, resisting a peace officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and violation of bail bond.
