From The Historical Society: Execution Ticket
This is one of the many items that can be found at the Washington County Historical Society Museum: an admission ticket for the May 14, 1892 execution of Henry Dickerson and Thos. Davis in Nashville. While this item is certainly unique, it’s got lots of company– there are hundreds, or even thousands of other local artifacts that you can see either at the Washington County Historical Society Museum, located at 326 S. Kaskaskia, and at Nashville’s L&N Depot, located at 101 E. Railroad. Both sites are open to visitors on Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. The Historical Society is also gearing up for Fall Festival weekend, when they will be welcoming visitors to both sites for a special day.
