After all the rain and humidity, this was a nice week end to enjoy.
Cindy McHenry of Columbia, MO arrived in the area Friday. Cindy & Ora Mae Droege were Nashville callers on Saturday
On Saturday, Gina Droege was among family and friends at a Bridal Shower in Pinckneyville for Heather Wilkin who will marry Tim Sherman(Gina’s Nephew) on October 8th in DuBois.

A Pancreatic Cancer Benefit for Vernon Segelhorst will be held Friday August 26 beginning at 6:30pm at Seg’s Place in Venedy. The family is coming together and hosting a benefit on behalf of Vernon, Melanie (wife), and his children. We will be having a silent auction, live auction, 50/50 raffle, and food for purchase. Do you have your tickets for the 2017 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic? The outdoor game between the St. Louis Blues & Chicago Blackhawks will be played January 2, 2017. The League began playing the Winter Classic in 2008 after the success of the 2003 Heritage Classic between the Montreal Canadians & the Edmonton Oilers in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.The Winter Classic is held in the US while the Heritage Classic is held in Canada. This is the 50th Anniversary of the Blues franchise.
