Mr. Joseph R. Jablonski, Sr. of Nashville, departed this life at his residence in Nashville on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 5:15 PM. He had attained the age of 80 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Mr. Jablonski was born on September 11, 1935, the son of Joseph L. and Frances (Karolczak) Jablonski. He was united in marriage to Juanita Smith on May 12, 1956 in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church at Todds Mill, and she preceded him in death on May 15, 2009.
Joe was a member of the United States Army and worked as a truck driver for many years. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville and the Knights of Columbus.
Left to mourn his passing are his eleven children, Joseph R. Jablonski, Jr. and wife Leona of Highland, James Jablonski and wife Rita of DuBois, Jerome Jablonski of Nashville, Jeffrey Jablonski and wife Jeanine of Waterford, Pa., Judith Booten and husband Tim of Benton, Jonathan Jablonski and wife Dawn of Ashley, Jason Jabonski and wife Elizabeth of Nashville, Jaycee Faries and husband Michael of Cahokia, Joan Jablonski of Benton, Justin Jablonski and wife Julie of Nashville, and Jared Jablonski of Fairview Heights; 33 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, two sisters, Irene Bednar of Antioc, and Mary Szramkowski and husband Charles of Florissant, Mo.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter, Janet Burke; two grandchildren, Jennifer Zyk and Danielle Cummins, and a sister, Martha Barteszkiewicz
Mass of Christian burial will be held at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Nashville, on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2 PM with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating and with interment to follow in the St. Ann Old Cemetery.
The rosary will recited at the Campagna Funeral Home on Thursday at 8 PM.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville, on Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Friday from 12 PM until 1:30 PM.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Ann Catholic Church Renovation Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
