Okawville Native Hired As Kaskaskia College Blue Angels Head Basketball Coach
The Kaskaskia College Athletic Department is pleased to announce that Janelle Kuhn has been hired as the Head Coach for the KC Blue Angels Basketball Program after serving one year as the assistant coach for the program.
KC Athletic Director Kim Rahar feels the new head coach will do a great job. “I am very excited about Janelle taking over the Blue Angel Basketball team. Her knowledge, leadership and experience will help build a strong program at KC”.
Kuhn, a 2005 graduate of Okawville High School, played golf and basketball at Illinois College in Jacksonville where she was an all-conference selection in both sports. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education and Health.
Her basketball resume includes assistant girls basketball coach at West Central from 2009-2010; head girls basketball and golf coach at Red Bud High school from 2010-2014; and head girls basketball coach at Carlyle HS in 2014-2015.
Kuhn is the first female athlete at Okawville High School to achieve 12 Varsity Letters. She currently is teaching at Carlyle Jr. High School and resides in Okawville.
