James “Jim” Lamczyk

James “Jim” Lamczyk, 73, of Mulkeytown, passed away at 8:38 a.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016, at Herrin Hospital.

Jim was born on June 5, 1943 in Nashville, to Tony Lamczyk and Gertrude (Bochantin) Lamczyk. He was married to Brenda (Kiselewski) Lamczyk on August 8, 1964. Jim was a farmer. He was one of a kind. He loved his family, friends, and his church and knew the value of a hard days work. He was a member od St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Royalton

Jim is survived by his children, Jim and Monica Rich of Coello; Mike and Shirley Jones of Mulkeytown; Marsha Lamczyk and fiancée Ryan Issler of Mulkeytown; Tony and Kristen Lamczyk of West Frankfort, as well as 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Audrey Mueller of Chesterfield, Mo., Mary Jane Mozelewski of Posen, and Carolyn Hiller of Tamaroa; sisters-in-law, Barbara Lamczyk of Sesser, Fay Wilson of Sesser, and Kay Krutsinger of Rockford; and by brother-in-law, Ted Bronke of Tamaroa.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Arlene Kania and Marcella Bronke; and one brother, Ronnie Lamczyk.

Funeral Mass was held for Jim on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at St Aloysius Catholic Church in Royalton, with Father Eusebius Mbidoaka officiating. Interment was at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the St Aloysius Sacred Heart Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
