Mrs. Mary Louise Elizabeth Haege of Nashville, IL, departed this life at Friendship Manor Healthcare Center in Nashville on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 7:00 AM. She had attained the age of 89 years and 22 days.
Mary was born in Nashville, IL on August 10, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Louise H. (nee Garholz) Dueker. She was united in marriage to Dean W. Haege at North Prairie Methodist church at North Prairie, IL On November 24, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2012.
Mrs. Haege’s first job was with the Washington County Soil Conservation office and in 1948 Mary Louise and her husband founded Haege Construction Company in 1948 and served as Vice President and secretary for the company for over 26 years. She was also active with the family farm operation near Nashville, IL.
Mrs. Haege enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and was a past officer with the National Motor Coach Association. She particular enjoyed spending winter in Texas and later became a full time resident in Harlington, TX. They recently moved back to Nashville.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and was a member of the Dorcas Circle of the Church. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the Nile of the Ainad Temple
Left to mourn her passing are her 3 daughters, Connie Lou (Donald) Williamson of Nashville, Il., Bonnie Sue (Alvin) Buss of St. Libory, IL, and Roxanne (Larry) Pruett of Nashville, IL, a son Aaron (Sharon) Haege of Nashville, IL, 2 brothers, Warren Dueker and Bertram Dueker all of Nashville, IL, grandchildren, Jeff (Haeli) Williamson and children Tyler, Zachary, Garrett, and Emma Louise all of New Minden, Il, Charles (Kelly) Williamson and children Reid and Rylan all of Marion, IL, Mike (Tara) Williamson and children, Elsie Ann, Daisie and Bowman all of Taylorville, IL, Elliot (Carrie) Buss and children Tristan and Sydney of Highland, IL, Julianne (Pete) Hogan and children Riley and Madaline all of Hinckley, IL, Allen (Anne) Buss and children Brock and Evie of St. Libory and Carrie Louise Buss of St. Libory, IL, Brent Pruett and son Braden of Sesser, IL, Travis (Heather) Pruett and sons Nolan and Luke of Aviston, IL, Bradley (Julia) Haege and daughter Madison and Daniel (Emmalee) Haege and daughter Milly all of Nashville, IL, cousins, other relation and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great granddaughter Faith Pruett, and a sisters-in-law Doris and Arlene Dueker.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Nashville, IL on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10 AM with Pastor Beverly Kahle officiating and with interment in the Masonic Cemetery in Nashville, IL.
Friends may call at the Campagna Funeral Home in Nashville on Thursday from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Friday at the church from 8 AM until the service hour.
Eastern Star services will be held at 7:30 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital or the St. Paul United Church of Christ and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
