Crossroads Family Medicine To Reopen In Nashville
Crossroads Family Medicine of Nashville will reopen with a new provider on Monday, September 12, 2016.
Melissa Rehkemper, Nurse Practitioner, will be the primary care provider for the Crossroads clinic location in Nashville. After growing up on a dairy farm in Clinton County, Melissa wants to establish her practice where she can stay close to her parents. She has an interest to help young mothers, young families, and can treat anyone from 1 to 100 years old.
“I believe that educating patients, so they fully understand their treatment and diagnosis, is key to having the best outcomes. I want my patients to understand why the path of treatment was chosen for them, in whatever their situation is, and I always want my patients to be able to ask questions and get the answers they need,” says Rehkemper.
As a nurse practitioner, Melissa can diagnose, prescribe, and treat medical issues from the cold or flu to hypertension or diabetes. Being a part of the Crossroads Community Hospital family, she can rely on the team of specialists at the other clinics and hospital in Mt. Vernon.
Melissa is excited to join the community with her husband and son. Melissa is a graduate from Walden University in Minnesota. She is also a new member of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce. An official open house and ribbon cutting with be scheduled at a later date.
