Zion Evangelical United Church Of Christ Annual Church Picnic
Zion Evangelical United Church of Christ will worship on Sunday at 10 o’clock and Sunday School for schooled aged children will begin at 9 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend. The theme of the day is taken from Luke 16, verses 1-13 were Jesus tells a parable teaching the disciples that they, “cannot serve both God and money.”
The annual church picnic was held on September 11th. BBW pork steaks cooked by Mark Haake were enjoyed by everyone. The potluck meal was served following a congregational meeting.
At this meeting it was decided to place the old steeple bell just East of the Educational Wing of the church. New wedding policies were adopted. Getting married? Check our beautiful new sanctuary as the place for your special day. The meeting also took care of other church business including participation in the town’s Veteran’s Project, securing Pastoral leadership and beginning the process of calling Rev. Bill Causer, and replacing the church secretary.
Brad and Sherry Niermann along with Carolyn Meyer look over all of the choices at Sunday’s Annual Picnic.
