4-H Barn Quilts Club
The 4-H Barn Quilts Special Interest (SPIN) Club will be kicking off the new year soon. The second year of this exciting club will continue the project they began last year with creaking barn quilts to be displayed across Washington County. Youth learn to construct the frame, prime the wood, visual arts techniques for painting, and patterns for the quilts.
The club will meet on Sunday evenings from 6-8 p.m. at the Washington County Extension Office on September 25, October 2, 9, 16, 23, November 6, 13, and 20.
The club is open to both current 4-H members, and non-members interested in joining in on this fun opportunity. Space in this SPIN club is limited, so youth are encouraged to call the Washington County Extension Office at 618-327-8881 to register today.
The cost will be $7 per person.
