On Wednesday September 7, WCH held a “Brown Bag Lunch” for patients enrolled in the Cardiac Rehab program at Washington County Hospital.

Each participant was given a “Brown Bag” and encouraged to use this bag to bring all of their medications to each appointment with their provider.

This gives the provider an accurate way to see what medications the patient is currently taking.

The WCH Pharmacist, Jim Lynch also spoke at the luncheon about high blood pressure, including ways to reduce hypertension risks and medications used to treat hypertension.

Attendees were encouraged to bring along their medications and Jim Lynch also provided one on one education and answered questions about the medications each person is currently taking.

A healthy lunch was provided.

Those in attendance were: Art and Alice Schmittler, Bob and Ruth Ann Ostendorf, Linda Brune, Art Koetting, and Debra Koetting.
