Dubois Center Fall Festival October 2

DuBois Center’s Annual Fall Festival is returning Sunday, October 2nd from 11 am – 5 pm! A Vintage Market is added to the year’s event. All are welcome – FREE ADMISSION and FREE PARKING.

A variety of craft booths will be set up on the grounds including: blacksmith with a working forge, handspun yarn and spinning wheel, repurposed vintage items, wood work of all kinds, a variety of textiles, fall and holiday items, variety of quilts, personalized signs, barbed wire items, gourd art, concrete deco, variety of jewelry, yard art, fresh pumpkins, mums and gourds, Master Gardener items and more.

Food available in the Oak Lodge is pulled pork, hot dogs, chicken tenders, potato salad, coleslaw and baked beans. Outdoor food booths includes: pocket tacos, spiral potatoes, variety of desserts, funnel cakes, bean soup, chili, kettle popcorn, apple butter, lemonade shake-ups and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages.

Music will be provided throughout the day by: Spirit Brass Quintet, The Venedy Band, Faith Journey from Freeburg UCC, Joyful Praise from Trinity UCC Belleville and Eden Seminary Jazz Combo.

Oak Lodge will also be the site of a Silent Auction with a variety of items to bid on throughout the day and a Vintage Market to purchase repurposed items.

Quilt drawing tickets are available now by contacting DuBois Center and will be on sale at various booths throughout the Festival. Drawing will be held at 4:30 pm. – presence not required to win.

Kidz Korner will offer lots of crafts, games and events, candle dipping and face painting for children of all ages. Other activities include arena horse rides, pontoon boat rides on the lake and hay wagon rides throughout the grounds. Activities will be offered for a nominal fee. Admission and parking are free. Shuttle rides from the field parking area are also provided at no charge.

DuBois Center is the camp and retreat center of the United Church of Christ congregations in Southern Illinois. Facilities are open to all persons and groups for retreats, meetings, summer camp sessions, outdoor education for schools, church and group programming, family events and more.
