Letter: Silly Ads From Congressional Candidate

Silly Ads From Congressional Candidate

Dear Editor:

‘Tis the season for political ads which we eagerly anticipate (not!). Some are informative, some are just plain silly.

Top contender for silly must be a current TV ad for C.J. Baricevic, Democrat candidate for U.S. Congress from our district.

He definitely is appealing to the politically ignorant low information voter. He mentions the “disastrous Rauner budget”, completely ignoring the fact that because of the Democrats Madigan and Cullerton a budget does not even exist. He then goes on to complain that Gov. Rauner wants to raise taxes.

It makes one wonder from which planet C.J. Baricevic has recently arrived. Raising taxes has been Democrat SOP (standard operating procedure) for decades now, thanks to the antics of Madigan and Cullerton.

There is such a thing as freedom of speech, even in political ads, but shouldn’t there be willingness to not blatantly spew so much bull exhaust?

Maybe he’s been learning from Hillary?

Sincerely,

Edmund Paszkiewiz
