William S. Strothman
William Sigafoose Strothman of Oakville, Mo., passed away Wednesday, September 14 2016.
He was born June 20, 1932 to Ben and Helen (nee Sigafoose) Strothman and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. On April 2, 1960 he and Marilyn Ann Eigenrauch were united in marriage at Zion UCC in Addieville.
Left to mourn Bill’s passing are his wife Marilyn, sons Ben (Susie) of St. Paul, Minn., Brian (Melinda) and granddaughter Madelynn Lydia of Walled Lake, Mich.; sister Dorothy Gene (Robert) Scharf of Centerfield, Utah, nephews, niece, cousin and friends.
Bill graduated from Northwestern University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He then served two years in the US Navy. He retired from Ameren UE St. Louis in 1996 after a 40-year career there.
Bill was a Mason, a Past Master of Shaveh Lodge, a Scottish Rite 32° KCCH.
He and Marilyn enjoyed many years traveling, square dancing, and spending time with family.
Services were held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Kutis Funeral Home, Oakville Mo. Private Interment.
The measure of a life is found in how it was lived. Bill lived his life with integrity and caring for those he loved.
