The city of Ashley has the following positions available for election. Mayor, Treasurer, Village Clerk, and 4 councilmen. If you would like to run for any of these positions please pick up a packet from Erika at city hall.

Trick or treat has been set for Oct 30 from 6 pm until 8 pm. The United Methodist Church welcomes everyone to set up for trunk or treat at the Church. Please arrive no later

than 5:45 so you can set up. Dress in costume and dress your trunk up and have fun.

The city lost Al Matecki last week. Al was one of the city workers and will be missed. I send my sympathy to his family and friends.

The Ashley Library received a grant from the Farm Bureau to purchase a new computer and CD racks.

Ashley United Methodist Church has services every Sunday morning at 8:30 am. Everyone’s welcome.

Lantern Pub specials every Tuesday is 10% off, dine in only ages 60 plus. Wednesday and Sunday all you can eat chicken.

Ashley Community Committee is selling chances on a SCCY 22 handgun. If you are interested in a chance please contact me. The winner will pick the gun up at W.W. sales in Ashley. Proceeds from this will go to A.C.C fireworks fund 2017.

If you have a child or grandchild at Ashley Grade School please continue to save box tops and soda tabs for them. Also, talk to the teachers and find out what they need in supplies and if you can purchase 1 or 2 items, I know the teachers would greatly appreciate it. The teachers have to purchase a lot of items out of their own pockets for the classrooms.
